“I am the Bread of Life” (6:35)—He who partakes will never lack but will be satisfied forever.
“I am the Light of the World” (8:12)—He dispels darkness. He who follows Christ will never lack guidance.
“I am the Gate for the Sheep” (10:7)—He is the only entrance to God. He who enters through him will find God.
“I am the Good Shepherd” (10:11)—He provides and protects his flock. He who comes to him is secure under his leadership.
“I am the Resurrection and the Life” (11:25)—He is the only hope for eternal life. He who believes in him will live spiritually even though he dies physically.
“I am the Way and the Truth and the Life” (14:6)—He is the only way to God, the standard of truth, and the one who bestows eternal life.
“I am the true Vine” (15:1)—He is the source of spiritual life and vitality.
